Abstract

Methanol conversion over two FCC catalysts, β zeolite catalyst, fresh ZRP catalyst series, and fresh SAPO-34 catalyst was experimentally investigated, and the methanol conversion between those catalysts was compared over pulse micro-reactor under 500°C. The effect of different temperatures on the products distribution over SAPO-34 catalyst, first with pure methanol feed and then with methanol/water mixture feed, has been studied. Pulse-micro-reactor and FID gas chromatograph equipment were used. Experimental results indicate different catalysts have different effects on methanol conversion, light olefins yield increased and DME decreased when using SAPO-34 catalyst as the temperature was increased. The optimum temperature appears to be 450°C in terms of methanol conversion to light olefins over SAPO-34.
