Pages 434-439 | Received 26 Jan 2009, Accepted 07 Jun 2009, Published online: 15 Nov 2010

Abstract

In this work, the monthly average daily global solar radiation reaching the earth on a horizontal surface was analyzed and compared. We used data of 115 surface stations, in a wide region of latitudes between 65S and 65N and having various climate types. The aim of this work is to investigate the climate types effects on the solar energy budgets and characterize the basic geographical and climatological parameters.
