Abstract
Oil agglomeration is one of the more effective methods for recovering and reducing ash of lignite fines. The effects of some parameters that markedly influence the effectiveness of selective oil agglomeration, such as solid concentration, amount of agglomeration oil, agglomeration time, and effect of various hydrocarbon oils were systematically studied. The sample of Giral Lignite Mines of RSSM in Barmer district was agglomerated with different hydrocarbon oils, such as toluene, diesel, and pine oil. The calorific value of the lignite sample has been recovered to 2,190 kcal/kg from 1,687 kcal/kg and reduced ash from 35.50 to 28.47%.
