Abstract

An apparatus was established for determining gas solubility in pure and mixed solvents with a temperature range from 25 to 350°C and pressure from 2.0 to 10.0 MPa. The reliability of the apparatus was tested by measuring hydrogen solubility in toluene. Compared with the literature, the deviation was 3.97%, presenting the apparatus was credible for measuring the solubility of gas in liquid at high temperature and high pressure. The solubility of hydrogen in Shenhua coal liquefied oils (including separated at high-temperature and low-temperature) were conducted at different temperatures (25–350°C) and pressures (2.0–10.0 MPa). The results showed that the solubility of hydrogen increased obviously with increasing of pressures and increased slightly with increasing of temperature. The regression equation of gas solubility had also been gained, which could be used for predicting gas solubility and calculating solubility concentration distribution.
