Biodiesel Production from Beef Fat with the Assistance of CH₃ONa

Abstract

The effects of the reaction condition of the yield of biodiesel were researched by using beef fat as the feedstock, methanol as an esterifying agent, and CH₃ONa as the catalyst. The experimental results demonstrated that the best reaction temperature, the reaction time, and the agitation speed are 65°C, 1 h, and 200 r/min, respectively.
