ABSTRACT

Within the context of this study, it has dwelled on that technical and economic analysis of a power plant based on wind power of to reduce energy costs and make the product prices more competitive for the 236 firms in Milas-Turkey that are in soil pool fishing and olive oil industry. To determine the plant size efficiently, the energy audit has been done between the years of 2009 and 2014 by making questionnaire study on ground pool fishing and olive oil firms. The assessments have been done by considering proper installation powers to the value limit for unlicensed electric production, which is 1 MW and about a portion of demand satisfaction 10 MW power generation and meets the load demand completely. Four areas that are allowed to build wind power plant have been subjected to preassessment. In the selection of these areas, wind power plant (WPP) configuration purposive licenses that are retrieved previously have also been taken into consideration to evaluate the places besides physical, environmental, technical, and legal criteria. As a result of this study, it has been determined that a WPP about 24.4 MW will be adequate to meet the entire energy requirement. WPP investment’s payback period has been determined as 3.8 years when the facility yield was calculated by taking the average energy costs of firms into account.
