Abstract

During the past century humans have introduced plenty of chemical substances into the environment. Some are the waste from industrial and agricultural processes. Several have been designed as structural materials and others have been designed to perform different functions like healing the sick or killing pests and weeds. Clearly, some chemicals are useful but many are toxic and harmful to the environment and their impact on our health far outweighs their advantage to the society. We need to control the risks better by just using chemicals, which are safe. In this review, we will discuss about inhalation (breathing) and contact routes and their effects on lung, skin and eye.
