Knox Thames is the Director of Policy and Research at the US Commission on International Religious Freedom. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the US Army War College and serves on the State Department's Religion and Foreign Policy Working Group. From 2004 to 2012, the State Department appointed Thames to the OSCE Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief. An author of numerous articles, his writing has been featured in the Yale Journal of International Affairs, ForeignPolicy.com, and Small Wars Journal.
