Robert W. Hefner

Robert W. Hefner is Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Institute on Culture, Religion, and World Affairs (CURA) at the Pardee School for Global Affairs at Boston University. At CURA, he leads an interdisciplinary research and educational program on religion and world affairs and has directed the program on Islam and civil society since 1991. Hefner has published some 20 books and authored seven major policy reports for government and private foundations.
