ABSTRACT

The church of Santiago (Jerez de la Frontera, Spain) is one of the main examples of Gothic architecture in southern Spain. Although its main volume was built in the XV century, the current church is the result of several enlargements, modifications and reconstructions along its history, up to the present day. Recently, important damages appeared in the structure and further drove to the closing and repair of the structure in order to avoid collapse. Grout injection with sleeve-port pipe was chosen as the most suitable technique to fulfil the requirements of consolidation and strengthening that the structure had, yet keeping a limited overall restoration cost. The description of the repair technique implemented in this case study is the main objective of the paper.
