Miliary Tuberculosis Following Intravesical BCG Treatment

Abstract

Intravesical instillation of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin for the treatment of bladder carcinoma uncommonly causes miliary tuberculosis. We describe a case of pulmonary tuberculosis caused by BCG immunotherapy and review of 11 cases of miliary tuberculosis related to this form of treatment previously reported in the literature.
