Ansgar Thiel

Ansgar Thiel is director of the Institute of Sports Science at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and professor for sport sociology. In his current research, he focuses on activity- and health-related biographies, social determinants and biopsychosocial effects of physical activity, body-related stigmatisation and health, social aspects of health in elite sports, and modernisation processes in the context of sport.

Barbara Munz

Barbara Munz is head of the “Molecular and Cellular Biology” unit of the Department of Sports Medicine at University Hospital Tübingen. Her research focuses on molecular and cellular aspects of skeletal muscle adaptation to physical activity.
