Social skills training for unipolar depression: A case study

Abstract

A 23 year old patient with a long-standing unipolar depression and suicide ideation was treated with social skills training for a total of 16 sessions during a period of 3.5 months. The patient was completely free of symptoms after treatment and remained so at follow-up 6 months after the end of therapy. Possible mechanisms of the therapy are discussed.
