Abstract
The paper considers a particular degradation and failure time model with multiple failure modes. It provides a review of the nonparametric estimator of survival function in a specific statistical degradation model, studied by Bagdonavicius et al. [2], and also proposes the parametric estimator of survival function supposing the dependency of traumatic failure intensities on the degradation level. In addition, real tire wear and failure time data are analyzed and the comparison of both parametric and nonparametric methods according to the simulation is discussed.
