Abstract
Citing a need to consider more closely the temporality of both cinema as an industry and cinemagoing as a cultural practice, this article introduces and examines midnight blockbusters – a term which refers not only to the ‘blockbuster’ movie but also to the practices involved in promoting, distributing, exhibiting, attending, and viewing blockbusters at midnight premieres.
