Home Futures, the major exhibition at the Design Museum, London, and IKEA Museum Sweden, explores the trajectory of radical domestic visions from the 1960s—but it seems that the future was closer in the 1960s than now.

Monika Parrinder is a design commentator and educator, with a background in design practice. Through journalism, public speaking and design research, Monika uses cross-disciplinary methods to facilitate new thinking for our collective futures. Barry Curtis has interests in architecture and design theory, literature, history and philosophy as they relate to exploring the material world. He has a particular interest in ‘Futurologies’ in an extended sense, from scientific research to speculative fictions.
