Le Blog, une nouvelle plume

Pages 553-561 | Published online: 14 Dec 2011

Abstract

This article focuses on modern French writers' web-blogs, a recent literary phenomenon which is now becoming a sort of cliché. However, it also marks a new literary trend, one which raises many questions and uncertainties regarding authorial presence in French literature. Our objective is to draw attention to this unique area of contemporary expression. We will explore this new world of writing using concrete examples, paying particular attention to Éric Chevillard—one of the most original French writers of our time—and his brillant web-blog, L'Autofictif. How can we expect this shared virtual space to impact modernity?
