Abstract

In 1997 the Beaumont Animals Hospital set up a dedicated clinic for exotic pet species. Here, two nurses at the Beaumont, Kim Clarke and Ross White, outline some of the nursing requirements of these more unusual but increasingly popular pets

Kim Clarke

Kim Clarke qualified in January 1996 after attending the RVC/Wood Green residential course. She has worked at the Beaumont hospital for two years and is currently studying for the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Surgical)

Ross White

Ross White qualified from the Berkshire College of Agriculture in 1995. He worked at the Beaumont for two years and recently moved to Berkshire College of Agriculture to become a lecturer in veterinary nursing and animal care
