Developing Professions Nurse Practitioners

Abstract

In human medicine, the arrival of the independent nurse practitioner is raising questions about where the boundaries lie between the roles of nurses and doctors. Some of the resulting arguments about whether or not to expand the nurse's role may strike a chord with veterinary nurses. Zoe Berry, herself a nurse practitioner, provides food for thought for anyone watching developments in the veterinary nursing profession
