Abstract
An inverse coefficient identification problems associated with the fourth-order Sturm–Liouville equation in the steady state Euler–Bernoulli beam theory is investigated. Unlike previous studies in which spectral data are used as additional information, in this article only boundary information is used, hence nondestructive tests can be employed in practical applications.
