Optimization of crystallinity distribution in sheet extrusion

Pages 153-176 | Published online: 24 Oct 2007

Abstract

Crystallinity distribution in extruded PET sheet is optimized for the steady state operating conditions. The steady state controller design problem is viewed as an inverse heat transfer problem where the desired crystallinity distribution is specified and the task of the controller is to determine the boundary conditions in order to establish the desired distribution.
