Abstract

Sports manfucturer Slazenger is one of the leading names in the business and is prominent in many sports, particularly tennis. The company owes it success to the work and dedication of Albert and Ralph Slazenger, two brothers from Manchester, who turned the company from being a modest size manufacturer of wooden goods, to one which became synomous with sports goods across the world. This article will examine the key events and figures in the development of this company from the late 19th century until the present day.
