Kimberley Iyermere's review of Ruth Abraham's book When Words Have Lost Their Meaning: Alzheimer's patients communicate through art (International Journal of Art Therapy: Inscape, Vol. 11, No. 1, pp. 56–57).
The assertions that the author compromised therapist/patient boundaries by taking patients art work home and that she invited patients’ families to an exhibition of her own art work are incorrect. The reviewer is satisfied that the work described occurred within appropriate boundaries and has no hesitation in endorsing the book for use in the training of therapists.
