Chris Wood

Biographical details

Chris Wood (PhD) is team leader for the Art Therapy Northern Programme: this provides art therapy training and research in Sheffield. In the current economic climate, she feels fortunate to combine work in higher education with therapeutic practice in the public sector. Her interests include art and popular culture, the impact of society on mental health and the many ways in which service users manage to live well. She is keen to contribute to the evidence base for art therapy and also to collaborate with others to promote the contribution art therapy might make to a wide range of contemporary settings.
