Pioneer of art therapy susan bach (1902-1995)

Abstract

Susan Bach (nee Michaelis) was born on June 13th 1902 in Berlin, the second child to a Jewish doctor and his wife. The household to which she was born was intensely musical and this may have been an influence in her later decision to work as an art therapist. Susan died aged 93 on Friday 21st June 1995. She had remained active until just a few weeks prior to her hospital admission.
