We, the Editors and Publisher of the journal Journal of Experimental Nanoscience, have retracted the following article:

Synthesis and characterization of magnetite/hydroxyapatite nanoparticles for biomedical applications, doi:10.1080/17458080.2021.1931685

Since publication, it has been determined that the article contains significant overlap with the article listed below, which has not been cited or otherwise acknowledged:

Role of Annealing Temperatures on Mechanical, Optical, Electrical and Magnetic Properties of Nanohydroxyapatite Biomaterial by Panneerselvam, R; Anandhan, N; Sivakumar, G; Ganesan, K. P; Marimuthu, T; Sugumar, V, published in Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Vol. 19(8) 2019, pp. 4366-4376.

As this represents a breach of publishing ethics and of warranties made by the author with respect to originality and provenance, we are retracting the article. Further to this, some authors have raised a dispute about the authorship list, however all the listed authors agree with the retraction.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
