Abstract
Given a polynomial holomorphic automorphism gof C
2which is not conjugate to an affine aperiodic map , we find all real one parameter subgroups {φt
t
:t∊ R} in the holomorphic automorphis group Aut C2whose time one map φ1equals g. For affine aperiodic gwe find all such subgroups whose infinitesimal generator ispolynomial. We also classify one parameter subgroups of the shear groups s(2)and S(2) on the plane C
