Here we are again, publishing another issue of Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice. In this issue, you will find a plethora of excellent articles dealing with various aspects of the discipline and practice of coaching. As always, we are immensely grateful to all authors who share their research with us and choose Coaching for their work’s intellectual home. We also wish to express our continuous gratitude to our reviewers who spend their invaluable time and effort offering constructive feedback to our authors. Their contribution to the journal is indispensable.

In this issue, I would like to announce some important changes to our editorial team. It is with regret and immense gratitude that we are saying ‘goodbye’ to Dr Julia Yates, the journal’s co-editor-in-chief. Julia has served Coaching as Associate Editor and Co-editor-in-chief for a number of years, and her contribution to the journal’s progress in both quality publications and rankings is indisputable. While she will continue to support the journal behind the scenes, Julia has decided to step down as a Co-editor-in-chief. On behalf of everyone working for Coaching, I would like to express my most sincere thanks for her outstanding contribution and unwavering support and wish her all the very best for her future endeavours.

I am very pleased to announce that Dr Nicky Terblanche, one of the journal’s Associate Editors, will be taking the role of Co-editor-in chief, following the departure of Dr Julia Yates. Nicky is head of the MPhil Leadership Coaching programme and senior lecturer and research supervisor on the MBA and PhD programmes at the Stellenbosch Business School (SBS), South Africa. His academic interests include leadership coaching and information systems. He also runs an executive and leadership coaching practice. He has an MPhil in Management Coaching, an MScEng in electronic engineering, and a PhD in Business Management. Nicky’s research interests include artificial intelligence and machine learning in coaching and management, transformative learning and coaching, Social Network Analysis and complexity theory. He has published in a number of international academic journals and regularly presents at international conferences. He is also the creator or the artificial intelligence Coach Vici and Coach Vidi. Nicky is a highly experienced researcher, author, and reviewer and he will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of Coaching, as one of the premier peer review journals in our field, globally.

A final change I would like to announce, is that of our new Portfolio Manager, Hannah Hicks, following the departure of Liz Baker earlier this spring. With this renewed team, we are excited to start another (academic) year supporting and promoting cutting-edge coaching research that contributes to the knowledge base of the practice of coaching.

In welcoming our new Co-editor-in-chief and Portfolio Manager, I would like to continue extending our invitation to authors and reviewers to engage actively with Coaching by submitting and offering to review excellent scholarly papers that promote coaching research and practice.
