Emmanuel Didier

Emmanuel Didier is a sociologist, full professor (directeur de recherche CNRS) at the Centre Maurice Halbwachs (École Normale Supérieure, Paris), and a member of the Center for the Study of Invention and Social Process (Goldsmiths University of London). In the US, he taught at the University of Chicago and at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Originally trained as a statistician, he very soon specialized in the social study of statistics as a tool of government and has written several books on the topic.
