Pages 1-5 | Published online: 30 Apr 2009

Notes

1. I use the term ‘political communication’ to categorise the vast array of research carried out across the field of political science, sociology, media/journalism studies, communication and cultural studies which is concerned with the relationship between media and communication processes and political/social processes.

2. For opinion poll data on US belief in an al-Qaeda/Hussein link and George W. Bush's linking of the two, see Milbank and Deane (Citation2003).
