Hyperostose Frontale Interne et Paraplegie De Type Pyramidal

Summary

Description of a pure case of hyperostosis frontalis interna. Interest of this case was in the intensity of neurologic symptoms. Discussion of the possible relations between osseous injuries and cerebral atrophy, which is the probable cause of the neurological symptoms. Study, illustrated by Mellanby’s works, of the possible rôle of hypovitaminosis. A in the genesis of these injuries.

Description d’un cas net d’hyperostose frontale interne remarquable par l’intensité des signes nerveux périphériques. Discussion des rapports éventuels entre les lésions osseuses et l’atrophie cérébrale, cause vraisemblable des troubles nerveux. Etude, à la lumière des travaux de Mellanby, du rôle possible de l’hypovitaminose A dans la génèse de ces lésions.

Beschrijving van een geval van hyperostosis frontalis interna met nette tekens van aantasting van het peripherisch zenuwstelsel. Betwisting van eventuele betrekkingen tussen beenaantasting en hersen atrophia, waarschijnlijke oorzaak van de zenuwstoringen. Studie, in het licht der werken van Mellanby, van de mogelijke rol van de hypovitaminosis A in de vorming van deze.
