Summary

We were able to inhibit a serous arthritis in A. C. T. H. treated Guinea-pigs, on condition that the animal had been impregnated with this hormone during a few days.

This result confirms, in the peculiar ease of an allergic manifestation, the direct or indirect anti-inflammatory action of A. C. T. H.

Nous avons pu inhiber par l’A. C. T. H., chez le cobaye, une arthrite au sérum, à condition d’imprégner l’animal par cette hormone pendant quelques jours. Ce résultat confirme, dans le cas particulier d’un phénomène allergique, le pouvoir anti-inflammatoire, direct ou indirect, de l’A. C. T. H.

Met A. C. T. H. kon bij de cavia serumarthritis voorkomen worden op voorwaarde het dier gedurende enkele dagen het hormoon toe te dienen. Dit bevestigt nogmaals in een geval van allergie het rechtstreeks of onrechtstreeks anti-ontstekingseffekt van A. C. T. H.
