Summary

La radiographie du système veineux portai par ponction splénique avec mesure de la pression de la veine porte qui l’accompagne, est une méthode inoffensive et qui rend les plus grands services dans beaucoup d’affections abdominales.

Elle permet d’affirmer si un obstacle sur la veine porte est intra- ou extrahépatique.

Elle est la seule méthode de diagnostic d’une pyléphlébite thrombosante, elle localise les tumeurs du foie et précise leur opérabilité éventuelle.

Vu son innocuité, elle devrait être systématiquement utilisée dans les hémorragies digestives, les splénomégalies et les ascites d’origine inconnue.

Zij laat toe te bevestigen of de hindernis op de vena porta, intra- of extra- hepatisch zetelt.

Zij is de enige methode om een pylephlebitis obliterans te diagnosticeren, zij localiseert de levertumoren en geeft aanduiding nopens hun eventuele opera- biliteit.

Gezien haar onschadelijkheid zou zij systematisch moeten aangewend bij bloedingen in de maagdarmtractus, splenomegalie en ascites van onbekende oorzaak.
