Summary

The application of the immunofluorescence technique with anti-immunoglobulin antisera to washed cell suspensions of the lymphoid organs has been highly successful, not only for diagnostic purposes, but also for the classification of a number of lymphoreticular malignancies. Furthermore, the results have contributed substantially to our knowledge of the physiology of the immune system.

Résumé

L’application de la technique de l’immunofluorescence à l’aide d’antisérums anti-immunoglobulincs aux suspensions lavées des organes lymphoïdes a été couronnée de succès; non seulement pour la diagnostic, mais aussi pour la classification d’un nombre de proliférations lymphoréticulaires malignes. En outre, les résultats ont fourni une contribution substantielle à notre connaissance de la physiologie du système immunologique.

Samenvatting

De toepassing van de immuunfluorescentietechniek met behulp van anti-immuunglobuline antisera op gewassen celsuspensies van de lymphoide organen is zeer succesvol geweest, nict alleen voor de diagnostiek, doch ook voor de classificatie van een aantal lymphoreticulaire maligniteiten. Bovendien hebben de resultaten belangrijk bijgedragen tot onze kennis over de fysiologie van het immuun apparaat.
