Summary
An experimental model has been developed in the white Wistar rat lor the study of arterial thrombosis and atherogenesis. The method was standardized for thrombus registration. The ultrastructural controls 24 hours after endothelial desquamation show marked hypertrophy of both smooth muscle cells and endothelium.
