Zi Wang

Zi Wang is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute of East Asian Studies, University of Duisburg-Essen. He completed his PhD in sociology and Japanese studies in the same university in January 2018. His research interests and expertise cover areas of education, school-to-work transition, and youth studies. In addition, Zi Wang has started a new multidisciplinary project on language, migration, and happiness, which is fully funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG). Zi Wang has held visiting research fellowships at EHESS (Paris), Ca’ Foscari University (Venice), Waseda University (Tokyo), as well as the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL) (Tokyo).
