Consideration of Eigenvalue Sensitivity for a Reactor System

Abstract

If there is a high eigenvalue sensitivity in a nuclear reactor system to variations of the system parameters, the reactor system will be in danger of excursion. In this paper, we derive a state variable feedback system that reduces the representative eigenvalue sensitivity of the system to simultaneous deviations of the system parameters. Also, we analyze the variations of the output sensitivity and of the transient response of the system due to the addition of the feedback system thus derived.
