Joseph J. Kerski
Joseph J. Kerski holds three degrees in geography and serves as education manager for Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri). He worked for twenty-one years as geographer at the United States Geological Survey and at the U.S. Census Bureau. He has taught GIS at Sinte Gleska University, at the University of Denver, at other universities, in K–12 schools, and in online courses. Passionate about spatial learning, he fosters educational partnerships, promotes GIS in education and society through service and scholarship, and conducts courses on geotechnology in education internationally. He creates GIS-based curricula and conducts research in the effectiveness and implementation of GIS.
