Water, Horizons, and the Painter

A Conversation with Louise LeBourgeois

Abstract

In a conversation between Jungian analyst Katherine Olivetti and artist Louise LeBourgeois they touch on the impact of Jung's Memories, Dreams, Reflections; the artist's connection to water and her muse Lake Michigan; and early memories of swimming with her father. They explore the theme of the horizon and the paradox of water and discuss the physicality of painting.
