ABSTRACT
We use the logic of the spiritual Principles of Universal Mind, Consciousness, and Thought to describe two often overlooked ingredients for the resolution of traumatic memories – the power of Thought and innate mental health. We first review the three Principles and use their logic to explain why these two typically unrecognized ingredients can improve and sustain treatment outcomes for people experiencing traumatic memories. Then, we use the logic of the Principles to speculate why the prevailing “gold standard” interventions for resolving traumatic memories – cognitive-behavior therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing – are effective to the degree they are.
