The Science on Sexual Orientation: A Review of the Recent Literature

Pages 175-182 | Published online: 11 Apr 2013

Abstract

The determinants of sexual orientation remain unknown—whether it is result of biological factors, cultural factors, or, most likely, some combination of the two. This paper reviews the recent literature on the science of sexual orientation and discusses some of the theories on the origins of homosexuality. There is a critique of both the process and the studies.
