In this issue, we publish the Annual JGLMH Outstanding Resident Paper Award, which was presented by author Teddy Goetz in May. This is the 13th adjudication of the award, created by past editors Mary Barber and Alan Schwartz, and it is one of several ways that we have been able to involve trainees in the official journal of AGLP: The Association of LGBTQ + Psychiatrists.
Also in this issue of JGLMH are many reviews and original research papers focus on how the mental health of LGBTQ + people who are religious, or from parts of the world where religion has a strong influence on the local culture. If you are receiving the print issue, you may also notice it is a little thicker than usual, as a change to our print publishing process has allowed for more articles to be compiled into a single issue.
As we close out the year with our last quarterly issue of 2023, we here at JGLMH wish our authors and readers well. Stayed tuned in the new year for some announcements about big changes for the journal.
