Strengthening Security in an Age of Irregular Migration Flows: Considerations for Applied Security Research

 

ABSTRACT

Security and immigration are both emerging global issues. Radical ideologies have infiltrated borders across Europe and the United States. Policy implications and ethical concerns surrounding mass migration have been even more disturbing for policymakers. The proposed research agenda points outlined as follows seeks to lift the veil on security and immigration vis a vis examining detention efforts, examining the ethical challenges of the exhaustive measures of integrate security and immigration, and analyzing future efforts to strengthen security measures.
