Chon A. Noriega (Ph.D., Stanford University, 1991) is professor of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is also Director of the Chicano Studies Research Center. He is author of Shot In America: Television, the State, and the Rise of Chicano Cinema (2000).
