Abstract

Urinary tract infections (UTI), acute and chronic, can be effectively treated with herbal medicine. Two strategies are essential in utilizing herbal medicine. The choice of herbs, through their herbal actions, along with appropriate therapeutic dosing strategies, will determine the effectiveness of herbal treatment and prevent the need to intervene with antibiotics. This paper will discuss urinary tract infections and botanical therapeutics through a case-study presentation.
