Helen Warner’s research interests include gender, celebrity and consumer culture. Her PhD focused on the cultural uses and function of fashion in contemporary US television. In particular, she examined the ways in which texts seek to educate viewers in how fashion is used to construct and resist mainstream cultural identities.
