Breena Holland

Breena Holland is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and the Environmental Initiative at Lehigh University. Her book Allocating the Earth (Oxford University Press, 2014) develops and applies capabilities theory to address questions about justice and value that arise in US environmental policy. She has also published a number of articles and book chapters that advance Martha Nussbaum's capabilities approach for the purpose of addressing environment-related capability conflicts between spatially and temporally distant humans, and between humans and animals.
