Abstract

In this study, a semi-analytical solution of the constitutive nonlinear differential equations of fully saturated porous media is presented. Also, the nonlinear dynamic behaviour of material and geometry is considered. The uwp formulation of fully coupled dynamic field is used to simulate the pore fluid and soil skeleton responses with the change of pore pressure. The governing equations with the corresponding boundary conditions were solved analytically using regular perturbation technique. The parametric study was utilized to investigate the effect of nonlinearity of material and geometry on the pore pressure, total stress, solid and fluid displacements. Results are illustrated graphically for the presented semi-analytical model. It was found that the values of frequencies of applied load and level of permeability had a great effect on the total stress distribution, pore pressure, solid displacement and fluid displacement.
