Ziad Alfarah

Dr. Ziad Alfarah is a geriatrician and palliative care physician. He started his career working in Lawrence, Massachusetts, caring for a primarily underserved population. He has served in various physician leadership roles, including Chief Quality Officer and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Alfarah is strongly passionate about incorporating improvement science and high reliability principles to transform health care delivery. He has been involved in many initiatives around delivering value-based patient-centered care, most recently, implementing an accountable care organization for the Medicaid population in the Merrimack Valley. Dr. Alfarah completed his training from the State University of New York at Buffalo and Boston Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University and continues to practice and teach Geriatric Medicine at Tufts Medical Center.
