Abstract

Research around race, ethnicity and class is barely discernible in architecture. The Frontispiece and Endpiece collages in this issue draw attention to the issue of class.

Jan Smitheram

Jan Smitheram is a senior lecturer in the School of Architecture, Victoria University of Wellington, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her research looks at the relationship between performance, performativity, diversity and affect within the context of architecture. Her work has been published in international journals, anthologies and conference proceedings.
